San Francisco, CA – Pressing Issues, One Ronin, FWD, and Dub War have teamed up for an evening of dubstep music featuring DJ’s Hatcha and Youngsta, the pioneers of this burgeoning sound. Hailing from the UK, Hatcha and Youngsta are two of the most respected dubstep DJ’s in the world. They make their Bay Area debut on Saturday, October 7th in The Darkroom at Club Six to celebrate their recently released double mix CD entitled Dubstep Allstars Volume 4 on Tempa Recordings.

Dubstep is the most exciting underground dance music coming out of the UK at the moment and the virus is spreading globally with scenes popping up from Brazil to the Bay Area. Dubstep is the mutant sound of dread dub basslines and dark jungle energy; funky reggae skanks and soaring Detroit melodies fused into a new hybrid.

DJ Hatcha (Tempa, FWD) is truly a pioneer of dubstep music, championing the sound even before it had a name. Hatcha is known for mixing a variety of dubstep sounds in a smooth and enticing set. He is a resident at the legendary FWD party in London as well on KISS 100 FM. San Francisco is in for a special treat of beats, bass, and boom.

DJ Youngsta (Tempa, FWD, BMSOHO) is a master of the decks. Twisting, tweaking, manipulating his dubplates into a sub-low assault treading the line between implosion and explosion, dark and light, pleasure and pain. Youngsta is a crowd pleaser with the most upfront selection of tunes and impeccable mixing. Hold tight.

Getting the party started right are local dubsteppas DJ Cyan (Soul Stream) & Subtek (BIG, Grime City), alongside Matty G & Nick Argon (Argon Records), and DJ Ripple (Subscience). The host for the night is the hardest working man in SF dubstep; Emcee Child (BIG, Grime City) alongside Dub War’s resident MC Juakali from NYC!
